Appeal
Published on April 6, 2025

I sometimes wonder if it’s the right call
Protesting and chanting and holding signs
Will changing the law really solve it all?
The elders say these are difficult times
I sometimes wonder have we lost control
Forgetting the people on the front lines
Is not our main goal to save someone’s soul?
The elders say these are difficult times
I sometimes wonder would it help me choose
Listening to people screaming my crimes
Wondering, “what would they do in my shoes?”
The elders say these are difficult times
But I appeal there is a better way
True love does more than just protest and pray
